Installation — DEBMEDIA School ERP

Step 1 — Download the installer

After purchase, download the installer (DebmediaSchoolERP-Setup.exe) from the link in your confirmation email. The installer is a self-contained Inno Setup executable.

Step 2 — Run the installer

Run Setup.exe Accept license Choose folder Install Launch

Run as Administrator. Right-click the installer and select "Run as administrator" to ensure SQL Server LocalDB and the WebView2 runtime install correctly.

Step 3 — First-launch database setup

On first launch, the application asks you to set up the database connection:

For a single-PC setup, click "Use LocalDB" — no further action needed.
For a LAN setup, enter the server machine's hostname or IP and the SQL Server instance name.
Click "Test Connection" to verify, then "Create Database" to initialise the schema.

Step 4 — Activate your license

Enter the license key from your purchase confirmation. Internet access is required only for this one-time activation step. After activation, the software runs fully offline.

Updating to a newer version

Run the new installer over the existing installation. Your database and settings are preserved — the installer only replaces the application files. Always back up your database before updating.
