Stock Masters Setup
Creating stock groups, units of measure, godowns, and stock items.
Stock Groups
Organise stock items into a hierarchy. Example: Raw Materials → Steel → Bars & Rods. Go to Inventory → Stock Groups, Units & Godowns.
Units of Measure
Define simple units (Nos, Kg, Ltr) and compound units (1 Box = 12 Nos). Compound units let you purchase in boxes and sell in pieces with automatic conversion.
Godowns / Warehouses
Create one godown per storage location. AccountManager tracks stock separately per godown — so you know how much is in each warehouse at all times.
Stock Items
Go to Inventory → Stock Items. For each item set: Name, Stock Group, Unit, Alternate Unit (for compound units), GST Rate %, Opening Quantity and Opening Rate. Opening quantity is booked to the opening financial year entry.
