Backup & Restore
Protecting your accounting data with regular backups.
Taking a Backup
Go to Settings → Backup / Restore. Click Backup Now and choose a destination folder (USB drive, network share, or any local folder). AccountManager saves a timestamped copy of the company database file.
Restoring from Backup
Click Restore, browse to the backup file (.db), and confirm. The current data is replaced with the backup. You will be asked to restart the application after restore.
Restore overwrites your current data. Make sure you are restoring the correct backup file. The operation cannot be undone.
Recommended Backup Schedule
- Daily backup at end of business — to a USB drive or network folder
- Weekly backup — to an offsite location or cloud storage (copy the file manually)
- Before any major operation (year-end closing, data migration)
