What Is It and When Do You Need It?
Times are written in many forms, as a long count of seconds in a log file, or as hours and minutes on a time sheet. This tool moves between all of them.
Type seconds, minutes or hours, or a time with colons.
How to Use This Tool
- Enter or paste your input in the box or boxes above.
- Choose the options, if there are any.
- Press the button to run the tool.
- Read the result and use the copy button where one is shown.
How the Calculation Works
A plain number is multiplied into seconds using the unit you chose. A time with colons is read from the right: seconds, then minutes, then hours. The total seconds are then broken into hours, minutes and seconds with whole-number division, and also shown as total minutes, decimal hours and words.
Worked Example
3661 seconds is 1:01:01. 1:30:45 is 5445 seconds, 90.75 minutes and 1.5125 hours.
