PushPro vs PushEngage (2026): Price and E-commerce Features

A numbers-first comparison by the builder of PushPro: PushEngage plans and renewals, e-commerce triggers, and where each tool is the better fit.

PushPro vs PushEngage (2026): Price and E-commerce Features

Short answer: PushEngage is the better fit for an online store, because it has built-in cart abandonment, price-drop and back-in-stock alerts, and a free plan to start. PushPro is cheaper for a blog or content site that wants plain web push without a recurring bill. I built PushPro, so read this as an interested but numbers-first comparison.

Both tools send web push notifications to visitors who click Allow in their browser. They differ in how you pay, and in how much e-commerce automation comes ready-made. This guide sets out the real plans and what each includes, and says where PushEngage is the stronger product.

Disclosure: PushPro is my product. PushEngage facts come from its public pricing, features, WordPress and WooCommerce pages, read on 23 October 2026. Those pages contradict each other in places (prices, and which plan includes which feature), and I point that out below. PushPro facts come from the product and my PushPro review.

What it costs

PushEngage’s pricing page shows an introductory price and a regular price for each plan. It says “special introductory pricing, all renewals are at full price”, and that you are billed for active subscribers only, so people who unsubscribe drop off the bill.

PushEngage plan Sites Subscribers Intro price Regular price
Free 1 up to 200 $0 $0
Business 1 up to 50,000 $8 a month $14 a month
Premium 2 up to 100,000 $15 a month $29 a month
Growth 3 up to 250,000 $24 a month $60 a month
Enterprise unlimited unlimited Custom quote

Taking the introductory prices as yearly-billing figures, a year of Growth would be about $288, and about $720 a year once renewals reach the regular price. A year of Premium would be about $180, then about $348. These are my calculations from the published numbers, so confirm them at checkout. PushEngage’s separate WordPress pricing page shows lower figures for the same plans, which I could not reconcile.

PushPro’s hosted account is $27 once for 3 websites and 100,000 subscribers. That makes it clearly cheaper over any period longer than a few months. It is not a like-for-like deal, though: “lifetime” means version 1.x on the hosted service, and PushPro has fewer e-commerce features.

E-commerce features: where PushEngage is ahead

If you run a WooCommerce store, this is the main reason to consider PushEngage. According to its pages:

  • Smart cart abandonment, with two-step recovery sequences and dynamic tags, on the Growth plan and above.
  • Price-drop and back-in-stock alerts on Growth and above.
  • Browse abandonment for visitors who leave a product page (Growth).
  • WhatsApp automation for order confirmations and cart recovery (Growth and above).

PushPro does not ship these. It has an automation engine with triggers such as subscriber joined, tag added and custom API events, so a developer can connect store events, but there is no ready-made cart recovery. For a walkthrough of the idea, see recovering abandoned carts with web push.

Data, hosting and switching

PushEngage’s pages say it is GDPR and CCPA compliant and that you can migrate your subscriber list to it, but they do not state where data is hosted. PushPro Self-Hosted keeps everything on your own server. Moving between platforms generally means visitors must subscribe again, because a web push subscription is tied to the keys used when it was created, unless the old provider lets you take them with you. Ask before you commit to a large list.

Where PushEngage is the better choice

  • You run a WooCommerce store and want cart recovery, price-drop and back-in-stock alerts without building them.
  • You want a free plan to test, even though it is limited to 200 subscribers.
  • You prefer a recurring plan with an established vendor.

Where PushPro is the better choice

  • You run a blog or content site and want plain web push at a one-time price.
  • You want 100,000 subscribers and 3 websites without a monthly bill.
  • You sell push to clients, or want the $299 self-hosted edition.
  • You want a 30-day money-back window.

How to decide in 60 seconds

  1. Do you sell products? If cart recovery matters, choose PushEngage Growth or above.
  2. Is it a content site? PushPro’s one-time price will cost far less over a year or two.
  3. Check the renewal price. PushEngage’s introductory prices rise at renewal, so compare the regular price.
  4. Test before committing. PushEngage has a free plan; PushPro has a 30-day guarantee.

Frequently asked questions

Is PushEngage free?

PushEngage has a free plan with 1 website or app, up to 200 subscribers and 30 push campaigns in total (its pricing page says "lifetime"), so it is enough to test the product but not to run a real list.

How much does PushEngage cost after the free plan?

Its pricing page shows Business at $8 a month, Premium at $15 and Growth at $24 with the yearly toggle, described as special introductory pricing. The same cards show regular prices of $14, $29 and $60 a month, and the page says all renewals are at full price. A separate WordPress pricing page shows different figures, so check the checkout page for what you would really pay.

Does PushEngage have WooCommerce cart abandonment?

Yes. PushEngage's pricing and feature pages list smart cart abandonment, price drop and back-in-stock alerts on the Growth plan and above. Its WordPress pricing page lists cart recovery on a lower plan, so the pages do not fully agree.

Is PushPro cheaper than PushEngage?

On list prices, yes: PushPro is a $27 one-time launch price for a hosted account covering 3 websites and 100,000 subscribers, against recurring monthly plans at PushEngage. PushEngage has built-in e-commerce triggers that PushPro does not, so cheaper is not always better for a store.

Can PushPro recover abandoned carts?

Not out of the box. PushPro has an automation engine with API-triggered custom events and signed webhooks, so a developer can connect cart events, but it has no ready-made WooCommerce cart abandonment feature.

What are the refund terms?

PushEngage offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on paid plans. PushPro offers a 30-day money-back guarantee through WarriorPlus.

What I checked, and what this comparison cannot tell you

I read PushEngage’s pricing, features, WordPress pricing and WooCommerce cart recovery pages on 23 October 2026. Its pages disagree on some prices and plan features, so verify the plan you want on its checkout page. I did not run PushEngage on a live site, so I say nothing about its speed or deliverability. PushPro’s details come from the product and the PushPro review.
