This page shows every Portrait & Skin preset from the free Image Filters & Effects tool on its own: a before-and-after comparison and a full picture with the filter applied. There are 21 filters here, all run at 100% strength on the same sample photo.

Portrait & Skin presets are tuned for people. They aim at flattering skin tones, soft contrast and gentle colour changes. If skin starts to look orange or grey, lower the strength slider a little. In this set of 21, 13 lean warm, 1 lean cool and 7 stay close to neutral. On average they change contrast by +10 and saturation by +4; 4 boost colour, 1 mute it heavily, 1 add visible grain and 7 add a noticeable vignette.

This preset strips out almost all colour, giving a near black-and-white image, settles the midtones a bit darker and adds strong contrast. On top of that it applies extra clarity. The look is finished with a noticeable vignette and a touch of grain.
