What Is an AdSense Calculator?

An AdSense calculator estimates how much money a website can earn from display ads, based on its traffic and ad performance. Three numbers drive the result: how many pages people view, what share of visitors click an ad, and how much each click pays. Multiply them, and you have a daily, monthly and yearly estimate.

It helps publishers set realistic goals, compare niches and decide how much traffic they need before a site can support an income. This AdSense calculator also shows your page RPM, the most useful number for comparing sites of different size.

How to Use This AdSense Calculator

  1. Enter your page views per day.
  2. Enter your click-through rate in percent, for example 1.5.
  3. Enter your average cost per click in dollars, for example 0.40.
  4. Press Calculate earnings and read the table.

The Formula

StepCalculationExample
Clicks per dayPage views x click-through rate1,000 x 1.5% = 15 clicks
Earnings per dayClicks x cost per click15 x $0.40 = $6.00
Earnings per monthDaily earnings x 30$6.00 x 30 = $180.00
Page RPMEarnings per day / page views x 1,000$6.00 / 1,000 x 1,000 = $6.00

RPM, or revenue per thousand views, is explained in the Google AdSense help page on RPM and earnings.

What Numbers Should I Use?

  • Your own reports. Take click-through rate and cost per click from your AdSense account whenever you can.
  • Click-through rate. Many sites see between 0.5% and 3%, depending on layout and placement.
  • Cost per click. It swings from a few cents to several dollars, depending on topic and country. Finance and software pay more, entertainment pays less.
  • Be careful with guesses. A small change in click-through rate changes the result a lot.

Why the Estimate Is Never Exact

Real earnings change daily. Advertiser demand rises before holidays and falls in January, visitors from different countries pay different amounts, and ad layout changes the click rate. Treat the result as a planning tool. Never promise yourself, or anyone else, a guaranteed income from it.

How to Earn More

Traffic is the biggest lever, so publish useful content and make it fast. Check your pages with the page weight tool and make sure they can be indexed with the meta tag analyzer. Writing better titles and descriptions brings more search visitors, and the keyword density tool helps you see what your text is about. Always follow the advertiser program rules, and never click your own ads.

Frequently Asked Questions

Daily clicks equal page views times the click-through rate. Daily earnings equal clicks times the cost per click. Monthly and yearly figures multiply that by 30 and 365.
RPM means revenue per thousand page views. It is your earnings divided by page views, multiplied by 1,000, and it lets you compare pages of different size.
They vary widely by topic, country and layout. Use the real numbers from your own AdSense reports whenever you can, and treat guesses as rough.
No. It is an estimate. Real earnings change every day with ad demand, season, user location and Google's rules.
